Donation Wish List
We often get asked by visitors & sponsors alike what types of donations we could make use of, so we have compiled a short list of things that we would really utilize at the moment with regards to the animals:
We thank everyone for any donation and remember we value your support!
- BIG plastic kennels for big cats, to keep them out of the elements.
- Enrichment toys especially heavy duty"boomer" balls & natural fiber ropes/twine for making cat's toys.
- Building materials: wooden poles, screws & nails, paints, wood for platforms.
- Logs, branches for climbing. (Must be thick & solid)
- Spices (all spices except chilli/hotlike spice) & essential oils (vanilla, mint, chamomile, strawberry, eucalyptus, any natural flavors) & essences, petroleum jelly. Herbs e.g: catnip even the plants or seeds we can plant directly into enclosures for a sensory experience for the animals (birds included).
- Wet wipes/baby wipes & bottle brushes & a kettle for the kittens.
- We would like to ask that if anyone has carpets from a house that they are renovating that they would like to get rid of: we would love them for enrichment projects with the animals.
- Plastic barrels are also very welcome. e.g. the big 20/25lt plastic containers that cooking oils is sold in, we use this for the big cats as toys. Restaurant or supermarket owners could assist us in this if possible.
- Rakes, spade, mops, brooms, buckets, clothes, spray bottles & squeegees for windows
- Heavy duty water troughs for cats, that are not easily knocked over.
- Parrot toys for the tea garden birds. Kitten/puppy toys for the small animals.
- The baby lions and cheetahs love soccer balls, but they only last one or two plays then they are punctured :-( hence the heavy duty balls, obtainable from vets or specialist pet shops.
We thank everyone for any donation and remember we value your support!

OUR NEW ARRIVALS
OUR NEW ARRIVALS
Below we have put
in an image of the hard work Eddy Van
Eck and his team have been up to in building brand a new tea garden facilities
& a brand new shop, As you can see, its going to be awesome!!! definitely
worth the wait. Its almost complete.....
we are so excited about the project.
We have some really special, exciting news to share.
For those of you who are not following us on FACEBOOK or
TWITTER or have not otherwise heard, we have recently had 4 new arrivals to our
family.
We are pleased to announce that about a month ago, we
were blessed with two little ocelots: one little boy named Faber & his
sister Fiji. We also have 2 baby sister serval kittens: Flower & Faith.
Both the serval & ocelot mommies decided not to care
for the kittens at birth and there was no other choice for us other than to
intervene and remove the fragile infants for hand rearing.
Hand rearing is an ongoing and often demanding task on
both Mrs Matty Van Eck & keepers Janine & Kelly. It requires 24hr
patient care and round the clock feeding schedules. Cleaning, monitoring,
weighing, formulas, medicines, bottles, sterilizers and many late night &
early morning. All have non-stop demands with 2hourly feeds that needs
performing every single day.
As one can imagine this is a work of passion. However,
the 4 little cuddle balls are healthy and happy & doing very well.
We thought that until they are old enough for the public
to see, we would post some pics for you to look at.
